To view results for a bathing water, select a local authority or river basin district to list their bathing waters and then choose your bathing water or use the map to zoom to your preferred bathing water.

Enter a single year or a range of years from 2003 to 2010 in the 'From' and 'To' boxes. Bathing water information is displayed in the map, piechart, assessment text and change in water quality status tab for the last year entered.

Pre2011, bathing water compliance assessment was based on five microbiological and physicochemical parameters as required under the 1992 Quality of Bathing Waters Regulations. From 2011 onwards, bathing water compliance is assessed under the requirements of the 2008 Bathing Water Quality Regulations.
